Rassie has kept the changes to a minimum with Damian Willemse coming back in for the injured Cheslin Kolbe and Morné van den Berg swapping places with Cobus Reinach. I would have liked Manie Libbok at 10 – the Bok attack just looked so much better with him running the show. Van den Berg really tried to cover every blade of grass (in attack and defense) when he came on – will be interesting to see how he paces himself over a longer period.

Personally for me the series ended in Soweto. I do appreciate that many South Africans based in the US and Canada will have an opportunity to see the Boks and All Blacks live, but this match still is a marketing gimmick. However the selections show that Rassie takes this match seriously as part of the Greatest Rivalry series. I would think that the Boks will use other players in the squad for the game against Australia on the 27th.
