Cell C Sharks team to face Griquas

The second half of the Currie Cup begins with the Cell C Sharks hosting the Windhoek Draught Griquas at Hollywoodbets Kings Park at 13.30pm on Saturday afternoon.

The fight for a place in the play-off games will be super competitive as there’s only 5 log points covering positions 2 to 7 on the log. It will thus be very important for both sides to kick off the second round with a victory.

Coach Mongalo has made four changes to the starting team.

In the pack, Kerron van Vuuren, Reniel Hugo & Thembelani Bholi replaces Fez Mbatha, Corne Rahl & James Venter. In what is technically a positional change, Ockie Barnard shifts from 5 to 4. The only change in the backline is at fullback where Thaakir Abrahams replaces Nevaldo Fleurs.

There’s another two changes on the bench as Damon Royle & Fred Zeilinga replacing Dylan Richardson & Phiko Sobahle.

I really hope that this team can break the streak of Win-Lose-Win-Lose-Win-Lose-Win with a season’s first two victories in a row or else the Sharks might struggle to secure a place in the Currie Cup play-off games!
