Cheslin Kolbe has been selected to start at fullback completing a very dangerous back three with Kurt-Lee Arendse and Makazole Mapimpi. Hopefully the inside backs can manage to manipulate the Irish defenses to provide them with some ball in good positions to show their magic. We know they will be chasing box kicks most of the time though.
Rienaber has gone with the same pack and most of the bench that played against Argentina in Durban. The Boks have last beaten Ireland in Ireland in November 2012 with the games in 2014 and 2017 won by Ireland. The bookies have installed Ireland as favourites for this game as well. However if Eben can replicate his showing from 3 weeks ago and inspire the rest of the Boks to do the same – who knows what can happen?
Nika Amashukeli from Georgia will ref the game – hopefully it will be better handled than the penalty and card fest in Durban.
