Fez starts against Cheetahs
Etienne Fynn has made wholesale changes to last week’s pack and one change in the back line. Khwezi Mona, Fez Mbatha and Lourens Adriaanse will start this week, Emile van Heerden replaces Ruben van Heerden and Dylan Richardson, Thembelani Bholi and Mpilo Gumede start in the back row. Murray Koster is back at inside centre.
Junior Bok Blaine Golden will most likely get a first CC cap later in the game along with Nick Hatton.
Getting one over the unbeaten Cheetahs in Bloem will be a very tough ask. I do hope the team approaches the game in a positive mode by playing with no fear and give the Cheetahs a good run.
While the Bulls had success by regularly using substantial numbers of URC players in Currie Cup games the other URC franchises do not seem to have the depth to compete in the Currie Cup and the URC with two mostly separate squads. The Sharks have done the best of the other three franchises still being in 3rd place on the table, but has a battle ahead over the next three games to keep the Griquas and Pumas at bay.
